• A NEW INVENTORY MODEL WITH MULTIPLE WAREHOUSES

Abstract

Own warehouse bears lower holding cost then rented warehouse but bears higher deterioration than rented one. If variety of products to be stored in warehouse at a time then management have to hire more rented warehouses of different storage facilities as per their requirement. Present problem is based on demand of items and availability of warehouses at different locations. This paper presents integrated inventory model to optimize the total expenditure. Also we examine which warehouse set-up is economical at different locations. The goal of this model is to examine EOQ and EOL under these environments of the inventory problem when there are many locations with mixture of these categories of warehouses.
